35-0 may sound impressive, but not as impressive as watching the 2010-11 boys basketball team perform. They concluded the season by mercy rule (i.e. had a 30-point lead) in every game at the Far East Championships including the semi-final and championship games. This Mustang juggernaut nearly had the 30-point lead by half-time in both of those games, leading to five players being named to the 10 man All-Far East team. In Taiwan their toughest test came against local HBL school, Ching Nian. Falling behind by 12 early in the game the Mustangs would come back to win by 8. Ching Nian went on to place 6th on the island. The Mustangs bested TAS by 60 and 40 points despite pulling off the press early and playing all 12 players quite evenly. 35-0 is impressive, but it was the sacrifice, trust and camaraderie that set the 2010-2011 Morrison Mustangs Men’s Basketball Team apart.
