The Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.”

Matthew 13:44

Honoring one of our heroes! Mr. Chuck “Coachie” Holsinger

Morrison Academy realized another huge loss this past week with the passing of the beloved Charles “Chuck” (Coachie) Holsinger.

The man who our library is named after, Mr. Chuck “Coachie” Holsinger, died in the US last Thursday. He was 94 years old. Mr. Holsinger was a teacher, athletic director, principal and superintendent during his years at Morrison, from the late 1950s to 1974. He is responsible for starting Morrison’s athletic program and also was superintendent when this campus was built.  He was one of the main leaders responsible for getting Morrison moved from its old campus on Jian Hsing Road to our current location. More then that, he had a special way with students, making everyone feel important. He was truly loved by many generations of Morrison students.  He was a godly man who served the Lord faithfully all of his days.
