this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Books of the New Testament: Hebrews and James
We will finish our journey through the last week of Jesus’
life, concluding with his victorious resurrection!
Reading . Workshop:
Students will read their texts to identify the moral or the
lesson the author is intending to teach the reader. Students
will practice this comprehension skill and be assessed at the
end of the week.
As students continue to craft their imaginative narratives,
they will revise and draft to enhance their ideas (details),
organization, sentence fluency, word choice, and conventions.
This week in math, we will finish our measurement unit.
Students will be using their knowledge of measuring and
applying it to word problems. May you have a great spring
break with your student.
We will be preparing for our trip to the farm. Students, while
on the trip, should be paying close attention to several
things: How do the plants disperse their seeds away from the
Zone of Darkness? How do the plants try to get the most sun
as possible? Do all the plants need the same amount of sun
Chapel Please join us for a K5 chapel at 8:10 Thursday morning in the auditorium.
Field Trip It’s this Wednesday! Here are a few reminders:
1. Wear comfortable shoes- We do a lot of walking and not
always on level pathways.
2. Apply bug spray!
3. Bring a water bottle.
4. If there is a chance of rain, bring a raincoat or poncho!
5. Students can bring cameras, as long as they are not
connected to the internet.
6. There is not a gift shop, so no money is necessary.
7. Make sure your child eats a healthy hearty breakfast.
They will not be having their normal snacks at 9:45. We will
try to eat lunch around 11am. If they want a snack for after
our return to school, that would be great. Please do not bring
snacks for the bus. We are responsible to clean up after
ourselves and snacks create a lot of crumbs and trash.
Chaperoning parents please be in the classroom by 8:50
Wednesday morning. We will go over expectations for the
day, as well as divide into our responsibility groups. Please
make sure you have completed this year’s Child Protection
