Dear Parents,

Greetings! Welcome back from what I’m sure was a wonderful summer vacation. We all are delighted to be given the opportunity to work with your children again. Our ranks have been joined by several new (and very professional) staff members as well as a wonderful returning stalwart.

Let me introduce them to you:

  • Mrs. Chang – 4th grade
  • Mrs. Owens – 6th grade LA/SS and 7th grade Bible
  • Mrs. Cagwin – 7th grade LA / 6th grade SS and 7th grade Bible
  • Mr. Lima – Library Assistant
  • Mr. Owens – EMS Chaplain Coordinator / PE Assistant
  • Miss Neff – 2nd grade math / Lunchroom Monitor

Also, I want to extend a hearty welcome to all our new Kindergarten parents and other new families. We enjoy seeing new faces and sincerely hope you’ll find our school a warm and caring environment.

On Thursday I’ll be sharing more about our school theme in chapel. We’re concluding our trilogy on wisdom with a focus on Heart to Hands this year. This topic essentially deals with how we live our lives, the practices we engage in and the habits we form. We eagerly anticipate your participation as we partner in this important area of your children’s character formation.

On a final note, please note that our EMS teachers (with the exception of Kindergarten) will be administering the battery of MAP standardized tests over the next two weeks. For best results, please make sure students get sufficient rest, have a nutritious diet and drink enough water. These assessments serve as beginning-of-year data that will help guide teachers’ instruction. We’ll share data as it becomes available.
Hope to see you on Friday at the Parent Tea.

K-12 PARENT TEA 幼稚園~十二年級 家長茶會
All K-12 parents are welcome to join us Friday morning for the Parent Tea from 8-9:30am in the Commons. Come get to know some new parents and learn how you can get involved in our community. See you there!

If you need a parking pass, please bring your car registration with you to the office so you can apply for a parking sticker.

BACK GATE OPEN FROM 7:30-8:15am 後停車場在早上7:30-8:15開放
Thank you for your patience and cooperation with our current traffic situation.  We’ve been pleased with how smoothly it has gone for the first week.  For your convenience, we will open the gate that goes to the back of campus in the morning from 7:30-8:15 a.m for dropping off instruments.

Parents, please be sure to notify the office when your child has a planned absence. Our student handbook states that requests to be absent are to be made to the school principal in writing or by telephone 10 days before the absence occurs. This procedure gives opportunity for the school to reflect to the parents the possible effects of the absence and/or together make some alternative study arrangements. If you have any questions, please talk to Mrs. Sawatzky or Mrs. Edwards in the office.
Sawatzky or Mrs. Edwards 聯繫。
