The Boys Varsity soccer team of fall 1969 is considered by many to be the greatest soccer team Morrison Academy has ever produced. Led by several seniors who had played three years of varsity soccer the Mustang men placed third in the President’s Cup which was the high school national championship of Taiwan. Their 1969 record was 16-3-1. The three year won-loss record which these team members contributed to was 35-4-7. The team scored 80 goals on the 1969 season and held their opponents to 14. Adding to their soccer legend, at least six members of this team went on to play college soccer, including one who played on Westmont College’s NAIA National Championship team and one who led the US in scoring.
