Dear Parents,
Rumor has it that Einstein once said there are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other as if everything is a miracle.
If he indeed made that statement, then I’m sure he did so after he was confronted with the crazy, random-like properties of quantum mechanics. He was dumbfounded that the physical laws driving our big universe could not hold up in the sub-atomic world. At the end of his life, Einstein cried out in disbelief and exasperation that God does not play dice with the universe!
Yes, Einstein was famously wrong about quantum theory. Scientists are still looking for the theory of everything. But I believe he is absolutely right in reminding us to count our many, undeserved blessings.

This week let’s be thankful for:

  • Things we don’t understand … instead of why, rather ask what we need to accept.
  • Times when we are wrong … be humble, and embrace lifelong learning.
  • Everyday miracles … these are the small things and help us count our blessings.

I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving feast and pray the following Scripture over you.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Respectfully,
Mr. Myburgh

THE HOUR OF CODE IS COMING!
We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works.

That’s why our entire school is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code™, during Computer Science Education Week (December 4-10). More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code.
